Best has done thus far was 23 on the Billboard charts. It did peak at 8 on some digital music chart, though.

I also heard that the album has been a colossal flop thus far. I guess that whole "We're more rock than country anyway" angle isn't playing out as well as they had hoped!

I liked the DC back when they just sang. When Natalie opened her mouth and refused to shut it, even after she was pimp-slapped, I lost interest. I used to feel bad for the sisters being taken down with Natalie on this, until I heard them say they supported her 100%. Then they backed her when she came out and disparaged country music fans, who fed her fat arse and put her in a mansion. I lost whatever sympathies I had for them at that point.

And for BOR, I don't know if there truly were death threats. I can see it happening as there are some whack jobs out there. However, their demise is due to their own arrogance and lack of understanding the basics of marketing and their target audience. If they had acknowledged they were wrong to attack the President on foreign soil, acknowledged that they were wrong to characterize him in the way they did, they could have still said they disagreed with him on the Iraq war and I think they would have been fine. Some would ahve stopped listening, but not nearly as many as have now.

I agree with BOR that they should not be targeted for physiical harm, but if they suffer having to play 20 seat lizard lounges for the rest of their careers, then as far as I am concerned, they deserve every minute of it.

Their album won't be released until May 23. Their handlers are busy trying to push another single from the album onto country radio.

If they had just come out with a regular Chicks tune, they would likely have been on the radio again and could paint the anti-Chick folks as being intolerant. But instead they chose to stick it in the face of country music and re-open old wounds.

They're not on in Kansas City or St. Joseph, MO as far as I can tell.

I have received occupational death threats more times than I can count. I have also had a couple of attempts on my life through no fault of my own. These attempts were by people that were pure evil and meant to finish me off. I would have loved to have had Natalie Maines kind of problems while I dealt with these situations.
