The saga continues in the Bronx this week. The Sox send out Beckett, Wakefield and Schilling. The Yankees counter with Randy Johnson, Mike Mussina and Shawn Chacon.
The New York Post ran a back cover story questioning why anyone has not dared to throw at David Ortiz.. (maybe because he is 6' 4" and weighs 250 lbs) Sox offseason pickup Josh Beckett returns to Yankee Stadium for the first time since Game 6 of the 2003 World Series.
Series returns to NY after an abbreviated series last week in Boston where Boston fans expressed their true feelings about Johnny Damon.

Unfortunately MLB does not test for HGH.

He is an amazing hitter with great plate discipline. Too bad he felt the need to cheat.

He was missing his spots. Left one over for Giambi and GayRod and then hung a breaking pitch to Posada...
sloppy night of work for him.

Not vintage Shilling, by any stretch. It's not over yet but if the bleeding doesn't stop (And we don't get to the pen) it's over for today.

It feel SO GOOD seeing the Sox destroy the Yank-offs, aka the Spawn of Satan.Yes, it sure did! We won't talk about tonight's game, however... ;-)
Hey... are you back east yet? I noticed that NJ flag on your profile page.

Yes. Living in New Jersey (Bayonne). Place is stuck in a time warp, but primed for gentrification (that is if the MORONS don't turn this place into Elizabeth by building a container port).

here in florida its nesn through mlb on dish networkWell, isn't that bizarre? So much for my theory that the MLB package works pretty much the same around the country (except for blackout rules). For now I'm happy we live in NESN country... don't know if we'll be here "forever" though. Do you get the pre- and post-game NESN shows on MLB?

What was so interesting is that Randy Johnson just seemed to be a defeated man. He wasn't in that game mentally. It was like he discovered his super powers had been stolen by Kryptonite.I think it was Orsillo or Eckersley who said tonight (Wed) that perhaps Father Time has finally caught up with him. Said he even had an MRI today to see if "anything was wrong"...

Glad to hear you're
finally back! We'll have to have a Tri-State gathering in Bayonne one of these months. I'm originally from NJ (long, LONG time ago), but I don't think I've ever been to Bayonne. Not that I remember anyway...
The Mets play the Red Sox at Fenway June 27-29 - interleague play, obviously. No, we don't have tix... sure wish we did! Sorry, but I'm going to have to root against your Mets... ;-)
