Brodhead and others did not learn about the racial aspects of the case until March 24 a gap in communications that is extraordinary, the report concluded. The report said Dukes response was also limited by its lack of diversity in senior management; Brodhead and his core advisers are almost all white men.
The case may have been handled better if a wide array of life histories and perspectives had been brought to bear on what were sensitive and highly charges issues, the report said.

I heard Stuart Taylor (liberal atty and pundit) on Bill Bennett's radio show yesterday and he said that the defense had exculpatory evidence on the defendants and that Nifong wouldn't even look at it.

I know we will see justice here. I know that if these boys are found guilty the woman will be prosecuted for filing false charges.

Anyone willing to speculate that DA Nifong is a Durham Townie who has a life-long animus towards the rich kids at Duke?

I pray that the real truth comes out. Don't know what that is, for sure, these days. I also hope that this deters future incidents like this, and maybve some of these fraternity groups and sports teams will think through the possible consequences before repeating this mistake.

Durham police initially said the accuser kept changing her story and was not credible,
If no physical evidence can be tied to the accused and this becomes a he said - she said, this fact will be weighed heavily by the jury.

What's it going to take before the DA sees that the stripper Crystal Magnum is lying, lying, lying. It's time to stop dragging these kids threw the mud. And as to the Stripper's Father saying there was a broom stick involved, how convenient. And if it was a broom stick, why all the DNA testing. Shame on Naphong!

Does that kid even shave yet? He looks like a freshman in HS : (
In a just world, this would not have gone on this far. Since this is not a just world, this means that the strippers won't be prosecuted for filing a false police report, or perjury.

When the Lacrosse coach resigned, did he make a statement? I'm wondering if he wanted to speak on behalf of his players but was prohibited from doing so. Anyone know?
To: freepatriot32
This leak is damage control for the prosecutor.
He blundered big time when he showed the alleged victim a photo array of all the lacrosse players and did not include any independent photos.
He can now claim that the reason he did this is because the alleged victim indicated a much larger number were involved and not just the two accused.

Right. That's why the coach resigned.
