I wonder if they name themselves or their family members name them.
Neat but not surprising... ;o)
All this means is that a dolphin is as smart as my dog. My dog recognizes her name, the dogs next doors name, and my neighbors name. If I say "Smoky", she turns toward the next door neighbors house to see if smoky is outside, If I say "Rick" she looks across the street to see if Rick is outside, and of course" I can call her by name.
If it can be proven that dolphins can burp their alphabet they will truly be our intellectual equals.
My dog knows his name too.
