That's leap to suspect he is going to drown them..Taking them to an animal shelter is also a possibility.
Feral cats are a problem as they propagate like crazy..We rescued 5 abandoned kittens the momma left in the compost pile last spring and kept them, had them neutered, and had all the proper vaccinations.
All our cats are house cats as we think there may be a poisoner in the neighborhood. The momma has another litter behind the garage right now and we think she had another litter after the ones she abandoned last spring..I think she has produced ar least 12 kittens in a year..
Unless one is going to get them neutered it is best to try to catch them and take them to the humane society. We did not realize how many kittens would be the result of our not trying to do something..
Ours must be a feral cat as she is so elusive..We cannot catch the mom so trapping would be the only solution. We are facing this decision..always putting it off. Now,of course,we must wait until then new kittens are weaned..(By then she will disappear..oh well..)We have a full house right now, though ..so I avoid looking at the cute kittens out there.
I expect we will have fewer birds at the feeders this year.
I have neutered a few over the last 10 years. I don't think he takes them and harms them; his son said he "drops them off". I don't think he would take them and shoot them then he is a monster.
My son in law takes trapped armadillos out to some woodsy area and releases them.
We have 8 cats now..7 rescues and one was kitten of a rescued cat who escaped the house once before she could be neutered. We have all we can handle..more than enough for a "full house"!
I have four in the house. I keep them in, one likes to run out all the time so I told him "don't get caught in a trap". LOL
Silky..the surrogate mom in my picture, was living outside, eventually under a bush in our backyard..truly starving when we rescued her.
It took weeks to get her in the house..and then more time to get her in a carrier to take to the vet...
She loves to make an occasional run out the door.
.One night I was so worried because she was nowhere to be seen and she usually comes into the backyard after awhile..She was on top of the house and ended up playing the "I can't get down" game..I called her over to the area where she could make it down after she started crying and I finally saw her hanging her head over the roofline.
She made it down as soon as I tired of coaxing her and went back in the house!
Talk to the animal control people. Unless he has permission from civil authority, what he's doing may be illegal.
My compliments. Silky is a VERY good girl!
Thank you Petroni!
(She left the room as I type this.)
