He's not just stretching, I think our little buddy is practicing. He gets up out of sight on the high branch, then flutters down for a landing.

The wind was blowing...and this was the first sign I'd seen that his/her head was developing white feathers.

I don't see the chick! Did it fledge, or do eaglets leave the nest periodically?

The young one just climbs the tree and jumps down to the nest several times an hour. I just saw it.

Great site.

He/she will be back. That 15-minute rule is kinda dumb, unless they have really weak servers.

I'll keep watching.

In other news, the baby juncos in my front porch hanging basket are getting ready to fledge. I can hear them calling, and Mom is sitting on the edge of the roof calling back to them.

Maybe in the next couple of days...

It's the hardest thing they'll ever do.

Wow, very cool! We have been recently visited by 2 falcons and one of them was actually standing in the spray of the sprinkler.

He/She climbs up the limbs of the trees and then flies back down. But He/She also likes to stay up there for quite a while.

He's sitting on a branch right now, soaking up some sun.

Very cool!
