SHELTON, Conn. - A 13-year-old boy on a sleepover was found dead in what police suspect was a heroin overdose, and his friend's sister and ex-husband were charged with manslaughter.
Frank Korondi was spending Friday night at the home of a 10-year-old friend, authorities said.
During the night, police said, the friend's sister, 23-year-old Angela Krasowski, picked up the boys and took them to the home of her ex-husband, James Krasowski, 32.
On Saturday morning, police responding to a 911 call from the home found Frank unresponsive on the bathroom floor. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police were still awaiting autopsy results, but Sgt. Kevin Ahearn said he believes the boy died of a heroin overdose. Police are uncertain whether he took the heroin himself.
The Krasowskis were charged with manslaughter, drug possession and other counts. Bail was set at $500,000 each. Court appearances were set for Monday.
Parents: Do NOT, in this day and age, allow your minor children to go to sleepovers. They are the cause of much juvenile crime, molestation, introduction to sex, drugs, and alcohol, and in this case, a prelude to murder.
Fortunately for us neither of the 2 families we do allow him to spend the night with are junkies, which is nice.

Who was at the house when she picked up the boys? Who was responsible for the boys?
Unusual for a 10 year old and a 13 year old to be that friendly.
Very sad!
There is nothing wrong with adult supervised sleepovers.
This story doesnt give near enough information. If my child wanted to stay over with another boy his age and I didnt know the parents and their proclivities against drugs he simply wouldnt go.
It is imperative that parents keep watch on their kids and who they associate with.
All I'm saying, guys and gals, is be vigilant. You are all obviously responsible parents who know quite well the parents of your childrens' friends.
Unfortunately, many of today's parents are just glad to get rid of the kids for a couple of days and don't care how or if they are supervised at their friends' homes.

We border just on the hyper vigilant side of things. You know that ceaselessly privacy invading child maddening "but Dad!" kind of thing.
Where are you going? Who will you be with? Are parents there? What's the number? When are you planning on being home? How are you planning on actually getting home? No, I'll just tell you when to be home....
You know, that kind of quaint old fashioned petty bourgeoisie reactionary stuff.
