I did love Ben Stein in that movie. I *am* getting sick and tired of the 80s being referred to as the age of greed...when we all know who the greedy ones were: the Democrats who didnt want their pet project budgets cut so more money could be spent protecting this country and calling Gorbachev's bluff on nuclear weapons.
Quintessential 80s movies:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
St. Elmo's Fire
Pretty in Pink
Back to the Future - "you made a time machine...out of a DeLorean?!"
80s forever!!
I'd like to add "Uncle Buck" to that list.
"Here's a quarter. Go downtown and pay a rat to gnaw that thing off your face."
Bump!
I think I've seen it twenty+ times. I know every line to that movie.
One of my top 80's favorite.

Check out the picture in post 28 and then review your words......
It looks like Ferris cut his class on fiscal and monetary policy. It would appear they were weaned on momey, money , money in high school. :)
That is a great sight gag that I have never seen before.
Sixteen Candles is one of the best teen movies ever made.
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Pretty in Pink
All three of which starred or co-starred Molly Ringworm but for some reason she's been resigned to playing supporting roles and bit parts for the past 15 years.
