[Jane climbs a ladder]

Lt. Frank Drebin: "Nice beaver"

Jane Spencer: [producing a stuffed beaver] "Why, thank you. I just had it stuffed."

Hear.

"Police arrived, before getting a handgun and shooting the animal three times."

What??? Do reporters actually write sentences this hard to understand?

Beaver shot in downtown Larvik

If you've ever been shot in your Larvik, you know how painful that can be.

Police shot the beaver in the back twice before Moltzau ran over and told them . . .

"Don't you think you're being a little hard on the beaver?"

Before reading entire article, thought Muzzies shot it, a beaver running around in public and all.

Your name could also mean "beaver stream", and considering beavers tend to hang out in streams more than meadows, I think stream is the more likely meaning.

Yup, the bastards pulled it after 3 mins... Sad, but true: I didn't realize the "beaver shot"-pun before the jokes came in :/ *clueless norwegian*

The Beaver had to be shot. It had inside info on Larvik police corruption.

I once had a beaver shot at a baseball park. The dugout is the best place for watching a beaver shot.

I was just asking a Norwegian pal of mine, Achmed ibn Lofin, where the Prophet Mohammed (MPBUH) came down on the beaver issue. He says, "Oslo Imam to issue beaver fatwa at 11, inshallah."

*clueless norwegian*

In the Royal Swedish Grammar Book, that phrase is used to illustrate "redundancy."

I am afraid this unfortunate Beaver Shoot incident will be used by the Swedes to attempt to rescind Norway's independence and lay claim to the offshore oil. This could mean war. I am laying in supplies of Lutefisk and preparing for a long siege.
