Relatively speaking, it's not.

In 1982 the base price of a Mustang GT was $8400. Gas was about $1.25 a gallon. Average home price was $83,900.

Now a house costs $265,000, a base Mustang GT costs about $26,000 and gas averages $2.85 a gallon.

Of those, the price of gas has risen the least.

Yeah, even percentage-wise gas has increased the least.

gas averages $2.85 a gallon.

In San Diego it's 43 cents higher on average right now ($3.28 / gallon).
