Accused Duke lacrosse player Reade Seligmann's attorneys want Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong thrown off the case.
Today, they filed a legal motion specifically asking for it.
"DA Mike Nifong neglected his duty as a prosecutor to seek the truth and a fair prosecution," the defense's motion reads.
The motions were filed just 24 hours before Nifong's Tuesday election in which he's fighting to keep his seat. Nifong is being challenged by former prosecutor Freda Black and private lawyer Keith Bishop

Those Durham voters are starting to make the Palm Beach voters look like rocket scientists.

Any reason given for 2-3 days delay in counting those votes?

The Board of Elections does not certify the results and make them 'official' in NC until Friday. Why they would put off counting a whole precinct until then is beyond me, although I could think of a few good reasons.

I got the impression these were special votes where people said they were registered and it's questionable. ???
Nifong won according to Hannity!!!

Glad to see Morgan lose. The SOB sold out the Republicans, now he gets voted out. The national GOP people should take a look at this one and learn from it.

Just damn. As Freda Black said, "If you want more of the same, then vote for Nifong." They have him, and I hope he and they choke on the coming defeat in court.
She just hit on an interesting point. The comeback from Nifong about only showing photos of the lacrosse players to accusers has been -- so what ONLY the players attended the party. However now that we've learned non-players attended the party he may be in deep do do with the judge.
