Accused Duke lacrosse player Reade Seligmann's attorneys want Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong thrown off the case.
Today, they filed a legal motion specifically asking for it.
"DA Mike Nifong neglected his duty as a prosecutor to seek the truth and a fair prosecution," the defense's motion reads.
The motions were filed just 24 hours before Nifong's Tuesday election in which he's fighting to keep his seat. Nifong is being challenged by former prosecutor Freda Black and private lawyer Keith Bishop
He's wearing dark shorts. I can't tell if they are black or navy blue.
Nobody has commented on xo's last post. A prior post of streets leading from Buchanan to Charles is still in the back of my mind. It appears that there are several restaurants on Fayetteville. Of course, there are also tons on Hillsborough and Hillandale - which isn't that far away from the "drop point.". Don't have a clue as to whether or not they are "good" or "late night." :) However, fast food is more likely that a sit-down dinner. One more drink for the road? Wonder if Kim carries a flask? Or was it a meeting point? Another thing that has been bothering me is: when does the "booking agent" get his/her cut of the evenings profit?
Actually there is a Checkers Drive Thru 9 minutes from the Kroger (according to Mapquest).
Good find, that pretty much takes care of Terry Mangum being a relative and pushing this.
Checkers? Not Chess?
I was looking for restaurants on the streets in xo's post.
Could be someone she knows..Durham is not far from the state line.
Or, it could be one of the lax players.
Though much of what xo has been posted is interesting, I don't understand the need to play games.
It is possible the strippers stopped somewhere after they left the house and before arriving at Kroger's. Time is unaccounted for.
The cabbie's comment about the white car is still puzzling. Earlier on this thread I posted that "the green Honda Accord" was at the house when the police arrived, and later searched. Is it possible the strippers left the house in a white car and returned for the Honda after the police left?
I wasn't sure what the post mentioning late night restaurants had to do with all this.
The streets listed were in answer to where she stopped/was before going to the LAX party.
It probably belonged to one of the players who lived at the house.
Thanks for the street info. I didn't realize it was an answer to an earlier question.
The list of streets did start with Buchanan Blvd., so I could be wrong. But I remember the question was where she was BEFORE the party, and xo listed the 5 streets.
That's probably true. If IIRC there are four or five players who are from VA.
They both drive dark colored Honda Accords? (There had to be other cars parked on the street.) Why search that vehicle? Wouldn't they search the car the AV was in for DNA?
I won't say "probably" but may belong to a LAX player.
I took it that the green Honda belonged to one of the players.
It may very well be ... but I'm not going to assume. Did they search any other vehicles?
Well I know Kim had violated her probation, something about visiting a sick relative (father?) out of state, I believe. Did Kim ever live in VA? I know people drive on expired tags and don't switch over to new state plates when moving to a new location.
I have no idea.
