If you are picking up either the Onyx or Silver Pigeon, you're going to love it. My daughter and I received those two models a few years ago as Christmas presents from my husband, and we still consider them the best gifts ever.

So far only $50.00. But that was at the grocery store. However, I am making a trip to Lowe's later today, who knows, I may buy that stainless steel dishwasher I've had my eye on...

I bought three leaf blowers at Home Depot.......didn't get the optional Mexicans that came with them, however.

I ran out of beer just as this boycott thing happened. So ironically enough, I'll be buying a case of Corona. So you like the taste of urine?

But oddly enough I am home from work this morning to go shopping online in Mexico. Booking a trip to some remote'ish locations in the Yucatan. No one seems to be boycotting me there. Lou Dobbs Tonight: Mexican Congress Supports Insurrection in U.S.
"Mexican lawmakers are on their way to Los Angeles to participate in Monday's boycott and demonstrations in support of amnesty for all illegal aliens in this country. The Mexican government lawmakers last night passed a resolution showing their overwhelming support for the demonstrations and boycott in the United States. All political parties in the lower house of the Mexican Congress approved the resolution."
How about considering another vacation destination instead of Mexico?

I'm not going to be intimidated into a spending contest with illegals. I will, however, make it miserable for about a dozen of them by reporting to city inspectors a single family rental unit in violation of code by having 12+ unrelated adults occupy the residence.
We as individual citizens can do many things in our neighborhoods to pull the welcome mat out from under the illegals and not wait for the federal government which is intent of not doing anything. Undesirables have been driven from neighborhoods and whole communities before and we can do it again if the will is there. My personal belief is that most complainers are all mouth, waiting for someone to wave a magic wand and make it all go away. Nobody wants to get involved but most everyone likes to talk and talk is cheap!!

Does spending online count?
To: Buffettfan
I won't be spending any money today, although I might get some gas at some point.
I'm saving some money for my wedding anniversary coming up.

I didn't do my Costco shopping last week - - saved it for today. Will probably spend about $250, and will also top off my gas tank. May also stop by Hallmark and another store to look for Mother's Day cards and gifts (it will be nice to have that out of the way early :-)

ANY amount you can spend will help, guys. Obviously, the big ticket purchases are important, but the little ones add up fast, so spend, spend, spend!!!

Just bought 2 pallets of stone, 5 pallets of cedar mulch, $1K worth of plants, top soil, and fertilizer, and assorted gardening tools. My wife is out buying two-weeks worth of groceries. We're going to spend the next two weeks (yes, our spring vacation) working on the yard, landscaping, and getting our nails real dirty (doing things that Americans "won't do") ... and, BTW, not spending a dime on gasoline.
We will, however, be drinking plenty of Margaritas each evening as we admire each day's work and ponder our next day's 'assignments'. Man, it's great being a real (legal) American!

At last! The spend day is here. One member of my family has been using an ice chest for the past few days awaiting this day to buy a new refrigerator ($1600). Myself, I was so tempted to buy the new hot tub last Friday but today is the day. Whoo Hoo!
