This is interesting ...


The crime reported was "statutory rape." The age of consent law changed from 13 to 16 years of age between the time of the alleged crime and the police report.

Then, no matter what...It couldn't have been a statutory. Filing later doesn't change her age at the time of the incident. What it amounts to is probably that her parents would have been involved at age 14. Not at 18.
