This case is a textbook for why a prosecutor should not get involved in a case until the police have completed their investigation.

From what we have read, Nifong took the investigation away from the DPD, which Freda Black said was unheard of in Durham.

And I guess that explains why Nifong decided to try it himself.

Our police chief is ALWAYS the first to the Mike. When it was a race case, the Mayor was next. But then, that's Rochester, NY....my old hometown.

And we had a false accuser here, too and guess who showed up to defend her? Same story, different town.
