There are no bad dogs. Only bad owners.

Everybody thinks that he's a vicious dog because of the breed. Everybody is being discriminating against it.

Oh for cryin' out loud. This "discrimination" card is getting tired and worn. There was a time when being being described as "discriminating" was a favorable attribute.

From the article you cited:

Walker said she is upset that the owners have not apologized.

The old lady is lucky to be alive-- Too bad the judge didn't order the breeder to spade and neuter every one of those genetic nightmares.

And if I were her I'd get a lawyer and sue the pants off the owner AND the breeder, before some little child is murdered by these monsters.

A Pit Bull involved in a mauling? I'm very surprised to hear that.

If I were the victim, my attorney would have filled up this guy's mail box by now.

Why not euthanize the Pits as humanely as possible and lethally inject the owners? (Probably be good, also, to be sure that they don't have any DNA frozen somewhere. If so, it should be thawed and poured down the toilet.)

"He [Ward] said he attempted to contact Walker, but that he was rebuffed by Walker's upstairs tenant Ted DeVarennes. DeVarennes confirmed the encounter.

"If he wanted to talk to her, he should have called her lawyer," DeVarennes said.

Walker said she was unaware of any attempt by Ward to contact her and had previously been upset he had not made an effort to speak to her about the incident.

"I didn't know he had tried to contact me," Walker said. "He probably did. There are so many things that have been going on. If Mr. Ward did want to talk to me, I'd be very glad to talk to him concerning the matter.""

10-pound dog takes a bite out of pit bull
The Pomeranian's owner described the incident as an unfortunate episode that she wanted to put behind her. She was cited with failure to prevent a dog bite, owning a dog running at large, not possessing a dog license and not having updated rabies shots. Each citation comes with a $25 fine, Fragassi said."

A few years ago, we had a couple of dogs. A beautiful Dobie and a little pekinese mix. The neighbor had a pit. Our little dog thought he was a big lion and apparently teed off the pit who bit him through the belly killing him (not instantly though). Our Twister (Baron HellMutt von Twister) met him in the street and proceeded to take revenge for his little friend. Pit was killed and Twister was messed up for a while. Neighbor was not happy but didn't say much. Twister also took on a rattler. Swelled up his head and made him sick but he got over it.
