Yankee fans unite

Posted on 04/24/2006 10:08:10 PM PDT by iltc

Who here is a Yankee fan? Yankees have gotten off to somewhat of a rocky start but the starting pitching has been generally fantastic and once the offense stops coming in spurs, they will do some solid damage.

This is the year that they finally break through and win the World Series.

Giambi is on fire,

Randy and Mussina have been great,

Rivera has been rocky but he hasn't pitched much, and the offense has been great.

Damon was a decent pickup for CF and Cano is much improved from last year.

"Finally"? Try being a Cubs fan.

LOL...how long have you been a Yankee fan?

Every REAL YANKEE FAN know that they stink in April, they lose those early games on the West Coast, and we tear our hair out over it...every year. :-(

But things are picking up, at last! GO, my beloved Yankees, GO!

If you're "hinting" that he's on 'roids, again, then just say so. You'd be wrong, but at least you would be more honest.

"April is the cruellest month." -- T.S> eliot, who knew more about the Yankees than he thought he did.

No, they don't and neither are they childish posters; as you are. Nor do they break FR's posting rules, as you keep doing.

Yankee fans are some of the most arrogant people who walk the face of the earth. Winning the WS is an entitlement, not something that the BEST team wins according to the followers of King George.

I'm a Yankee fan.

The poster started a thread FOR YANKEE FANS; which you are not one. You can here for the sole reason to heckle a n00b, who did nothing wrong, and the Yankee fans the thread was bound to draw.

It is against FR rules to come onto a thread, with the sole purpose of inciting a flame war, to bait, and to insult. Yet, this IS what you did. Desist from this behavior; it isn't making you look good at all.

been a yankee fan since 83, when i went to my first yankee game as a six-year old kid and donny baseball autographed my mitt.

i know they get off to slow starts in april, but remember, they started 1 and 5 in APril of 1998, and went on to win over 110 games and the world series.

Misterrob, I could just as easily say that jealous fans of other teams are communist sympathizers who want a salary cap to "make everything fair", and they despise the Yankees having all the money that they have, just like Democrats despise the rich. It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

The Yankees have more fans than any other team and that's why they have the most money, and money doesn't buy championships anyway(Yankees haven't won in 6 years), but it sure helps.

Oh dear, oh dear, not only do I have many years of seniority on you, vis-a-vis, being a member of FR, but I have MANY decades more, of being a quite rabid YANKEE fan, on you, as well. LOL

Trust me, the '98 Yankee season is seared in my brain. But so are all the other years, of their APRIL disasters. :-)
