The impression that I got from the media coverage, had I not known better, was that Terri Schiavo was in a PVS from the day she collapsed to the day that she died. The truth is that the courts denied her access to rehabilitation for over a decade and then acted as if this thing that was married to Michael Schiavo just fell from the sky in a severely handicapped state.

The persistent neglect of Terri Schiavo lead to an equally disgusting and barbaric end. Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be dead wrong.
