I went to this show on Saturday. These guys are outstanding. They spent most of the last year touring the country as the opening act for Ashlee Simpson, but don't hold that against them. They are not a "Christian" band, per se, but a secular pop-rock band comprised of Christians. Two members (Jason and Clay) used to be in the praise/worship band at my church, and Jason still fills in from time to time. They are excellent musicians/singers and their songs are wholesome and uplifting. Definitely a show you can take your teenage children to.
Their debut CD should be released this summer, and you can hear some of their material on the website ( www.barefootr-band.com ).
The following shows are scheduled:
4/28 Dallas (The Door)
4/29 College Station (Vick's Country Pavillion)
5/4 Lubbock (TBA)

We went overseas and worked with two Swedish producers in Sweden, Dering said. That's the best place to find Swedish producers, I've heard.
And you've got to go overseas to get there.

This is too much. I feel kinda dizzy - maybe I'd better sit down for awhile until the shock of this exciting news wears off.

I haven't been this a-twitter since the 35th expended Natalee Holloway Tread started. ;)

Just you wait for #36.
You may have to take some sedatives just to handle the excitement!

I'm wondering if "Chained to the Stove" is going to reach the piano.

Special guests at the Barefoot concert will be Friend of Nick, and Matt Porter. Barefoot Friend of Nick
plays a unique roughshod sole
Matt Porter don't care

Oh, never mind them. They're just stuck in the 60's sex-drugs-rocknroll gerbil wheel. Still listening to the Doors and CCR, how much fun is that?
Thanks for the info, I'll be lookin' for 'em. ;o)

I had a really good bagel this morning.
Speaking of secular rock bands comprised of Christians, ever heard of Vigilantes of Love?
To: martin_fierro
Back in the U.S., we went on tour, opening for Ashlee Simpson Only because Milli Vanilli is defunct.
To: Froufrou
Did I mention they are on the Geffen label? I guarentee you WILL hear of them in the very near future.

I thought you wrote Blackfoot, not Barefoot...and I was excited about Blackfoot playing in Dallas again.
IMO, Blackfoot did a great cover of Morning Dew

For my own info, what would have been a preferred place to post this in? I have made bigger mistakes in the past and would like not to repeat them! <:-O

Bloggers/Personal or General/Chat, I think. I'm not a Moderator here, so I don't know for sure. I do know that News/Activism probably isn't the place for it.
