So, this guy, his name is... Shaun Something? Shaun Alexander, I think? Well, anyway, apparently he's a running back for the Seattle Seahawks, and EA thinks that's he's the perfect choice to adorn the cover of of EA's Madden NFL 2007.
Shaun Alexander was the NFL MVP and led the NFC in rushing last season. This year, in addition to grinding out yards, he's going to have to duck and weave his way past the Madden curse. Good luck.
Possible NFL ping fodder.
When I downloaded the last roster a couple of months ago the program stopped working. So much for Madden 2006. It appears that is the way they force you to purchase the next year.
To be fair, they've not only got a monopoly on the license, but have refined the game to the point where it's difficult to introduce new features from year to year.
I don't know if this will do them in but Super Bowl losers haven't fared too well lately. The last one to even make the playoffs were the Titans in 2000.
Beware the Madden Curse

Yeah but Seattle plays in the NFC West. Unless there's dramatic improvement from at least one team (which would have to be St Louis, the Cards never improve and I think the Niners are still in cap hell from deferred salary) 9-7 (with 6 gimmes from their conference opponents) should win their division easy.
You're right and if they can rack up enough wins to get home field advantage again they could become the first SB loser to get back to the big game the following year since the Bills.
The Arizona Cardinals will go 9-7 this year, but sadly, won't make the playoffs.
NFC Playoff teams
Dallas
NY Giants
Chicago
Carolina
Tampa Bay
Seattle
AFC Playoff teams
New England
Pittsburgh
Indianapolis
Denver
Jacksonville
Miami
Write it in ink.
Nobody that starts Warner is going 9-7.
Warner will get hurt 6 or 7 games in, but the Cards have enough to go 8-8. I'll go on the limb and call for a winning season, but no playoffs yet again.
And then when Warner is mostly healed Green will put Warner back, and he'll lose and get hurt some more. We went through this last year. Green got rid of the only QB that was proven capable of winning for him in AZ (after repeatedly pulling him for no apparent reason). The Cards got nothing, they have a coach who can't decide on a QB, a crappy over the hill QB that hides injuries as the coach's favorite, and no offensive line to speak of. Another losing season for a loser franchise.
I'm just glad it wasn't Hines Ward or Ben Roethlisberger.
I agree with both posts. Based on a super weak division, the 'Hawks should get in again. But the NFC should provide better competiton next January, and would really like to see the 'Hawks have to play the Skins in Landover this playoff season. I like Saint Louis to improve, and Im hoping to see the 'Cards do better this year. Regardless of what people think I have always liked Warner and want to see him do well in Arizona..
With or without Ricky Williams?
There's an NFL team in Seattle?
Heh....I thought Mike Holmgren was a Democratic Senator the way he sniveled and cried for 2 solid months.
We can do it without Williams, though it'll probably be more difficult.
Yes.
Just kidding, most likely without.
Oh a slam against us Steelers!!!!!!sobbbbbbbb........
