Yep, Paul McCrane was in "Fame" and on "ER." He was the SOB doctor who gave Elizabeth Corday a lot of grief. Towards the end of his run on the show, he lost an arm and the reattachment didn't work out well enough to allow him to continue to operate.
I'm assuming that was the end of his run. Is "ER" still on even? I have no idea. I pretty much stopped watching when Anthony Edwards left.

We ran across the movie The Sure Thing on TV the other night. It was in the middle of their road trip, so I explained to Clare what the movie was about as we watched the rest of it. Lordy, John Cusack was YOUNG. Then, when they arrived in CA, who was his friend on the other end but Anthony Edwards! I'd forgotten he was in the movie. He looked SO different with all of the hair on his head. ;o)
