Heh...being Dad, he actually had her buy it, too. Said "You'd like a grill, wouldn't you? Go find the one you want, and I'll pay for it, within reason." And gave her the cash to buy it.
He doesn't like shopping. Heh. Guess I come by my dislike for crowded, noisy situations honestly.
SirKit detests going out shopping, but will sit at the computer and shop for hours, if he's really looking for something in particular. We've gotten some good deals on stuff by his doing that. The truck we just bought is one case in point! He has found awesome stuff on ebay for fixing up the house. He even found a great deal on new furnaces, and saved enough so that we added A/C to both upstairs and downstairs furnaces for the same total amount as it would have been for someone locally to install just two furnaces.
He'll do most of the installation, and we'll have the licensed plumber come over and 'Bless' it so we can get the town's inspector to approve it. That's what we did with the new larger natural gas lines. He did all the work; the plumber just came in and did the connection to the actual gas line, then tightened everything. When the town plumbing inspector came by to check it out, he commented that the plumber had done a really good job running the lines. I just smiled and said, "That's great! I'll tell him you said that." ;o)
