When my younger sister was feeling bad about putting Mama in the nursing home, her son said "Don't worry, Mom. Mimi won't remember the folks she met the day before, so she'll meet new friends every day!"

I'm pretty sure I've told this story before. My sister worked in a nursing home for a while. She had a patient who was raised as a Baptist, but converted to Jehovah's Witnesses when she was an adult. She raised her children as JWs.

When her mind started to go, she thought she was a Baptist again and wanted to participate in all the birthday and Christmas parties.

Drove her kids nuts.
