Been raining here since yesterday. We can use it.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but I moved the ferns on our porch out to let 'em get rained on. I hope I didn't ruin things, cause I found a nest with eggs in it when I put them back up. I didn't touch the nest, but I ~did~ move the plant.

So we'll see.

Interesting... Hard to say if the parents will cope with the move. Any idea what kind of bird? Have you seen birds coming and going from there?

The nest should be fine. I found a house wren nest in my clothespin bag once when we were living in Tallahassee. It had been hanging in the carport next to the back door, and we'd been gone out of town for a week. I needed the clothespins, so I carefully removed the nest, dumped the pins, put bunched up paper to the orig. level of the pins, then put the nest back. Mama came back later, and didn't even seem to notice anything different. It was a hoot when the eggs hatched, cause we could hear them chirping when Mama would bring food.
