New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

It's an exceedingly fine show, with delectable male eye candy (Mark Harmon as Gunnery Sergeant Leroy Jethro Gibbs, former sniper and head-slapper extraordinaire) and Michael Weatherley as Anthony DiNozzo, the hound dog's hound dog) and the wonderful goth-y pierced and tattooed Abby, forensic scientist and smart freaky chick.
Together with Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard and "Probie" McGee, the NCIS crew investigate crimes that involve a member of the Navy or Marine Corps.
And the show following NCIS is The Unit, which has grown on me.
As if I need more shows to get hooked on.... ;-)
But thanks for the explanation - I was trying to think what that could stand for and just wasn't coming up with anything at all.
Re-reading my NaNo story...it's not as bad as I remembered it, so far, at least. I think everything from about the middle of the month on should probably be excised, but I haven't gotten there yet.
Thanks, got it to work in VLC. Woohoo! I'll get them set up to download overnight.
Excellent!
This season started off a little ehhh...IMO. But MAN it picked up towards the end.
And there are some really cool new twists!
Who also played the handsome and mysterious Illya Kuryakin on "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" Hard to believe that show lasted aired in 1968, which means David McCallum is almost 40 years older than he was then...also means I'm almost 40 years older...LSA
And, oh, my, I Spy ...!
Do you have a code ib your dose?
You put the thread to bed rather early!
Heh...I suppose it's rather sad to spend almost an entire evening reading your own book, but that's about what I've been up to. Easier than actually writing...though I've been editing as I go along. Still, I'd forgotten a lot of it, and it's actually pretty entertaining.
I do that now and then... Nano from the year before last, I like quite a bit. The year before that was ok too. Last year was awful, I need a good plot this time. Something sci-fi and light, mildly humorous I think.
I've developed a sore throat... again... I just had one before I moved. Oh well. Almost Friday. I have my next three weekends already booked with stuff, I was hoping I'd get to relax this summer. Hah. I like work but I wish I could hang out here more.
***ponders the consequences of just up and running away***
So, there's that.

Our homeschool group up and fell apart on us, almost literally.
The President/co-founder/co-owner of the group (let's call her Jane) decided to retire so on Tuesday, she completely retired and signed over her half of the group's name and copyright to the other co-owner/co-founder (let's call her Jan). So, Jane now has nothing to do with the group, and Jan decided to completely dissovle the group effective June 30. She sent out an email to the affect announcing that all activities, events, co-ops, and such were cancelled after June 30 and that our HSgroup would be closing it's doors forever. I do not even know what's going on with the membership dues - didn't ask (it's $13 to join, and $13 every six months. Actually, now would be the time the membership fee is due).
Holy Cow Batman! All the members are freaking out. There are about 60 families involved. We have decided on our own to reorganize and regroup. Our first planning meeting is Saturday. Any advice or suggestions?
I'll say!
I can tell you from experience that you can do it! It's daunting, I know. At least the former leadership is likely willing to help you in any way...our snake in the grass former leader wouldn't even share email addresses so we could let people know we were reforming. She slipped up and forgot to BCC and that's how we got them all.
You could name the group BA CHEF. :~)
If you run, run west!!
I don't have the proper credentials or I'd hafta say that you deserve the stick for that one!
LOL!
Good morning SPAM!
Did you think of any?
