Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Over the long weekend of July 4th... a little less than three weeks, way too long. Only three more visits prior to WeddingMoot 2.0, though!
So she is some distance away? That's too bad. But it sounds like she might be a keeper.

Anyone who could recommend an affordable health insurance plan for a couple in their 40's making under $20K, freepmail me please...yes, I am willing to accept a high deductible and to have it for "catastophic" or emergencies only.
We may be TINKs*, for a while anyway, but there's no counting on it staying that way ;)
Yes, I am thinking in the future. It's still too soon to assume.

2 hrs 30 mins in good traffic. We have friends who offer cost- and scandal-free lodgings on both ends. Difficulties: gas money and the fact that we're still working around previously committed schedules (and I've somewhat seriously said that I've visited her twice and now it's her turn...let's see how firm I can stay in that :)
I may not have made clear in the long post at #6011 that she exactly fits that "unrealistic" personals ad, and more. We have been saying the same things simultaneously, finishing each other's sentences etc., and that began at our first meeting (OK, actually the third day of our first weekend, Mem.Day).

2 and a half hours sounds heavenly at this point ;-)
Glad she seems to fit you so well. That's wonderful.

Yesterday while at work (I drive a pickup truck, with points for distance and accuracy) I was thinking "my hand is empty and my heart is full". I understand what Ruthy was saying after a Ramius weekend about getting used to driving while holding hands.

You know what...I've never had poison ivy! Never in my life. I've camped and hiked all over this country with my family and with Steve...I bet he's had it 2 times a year at least since I've known him.
Saturday, at the BA CHEF end of school picnic, a friend of mine said "Watch out! That's poison ivy!" After verifying that in fact the plant was poison ivy with several people, I picked a leaf and rubbed it on my inner forearm.
When should I expect a rash to show up?

To: HairOfTheDog

Well, you should have broken out at least by the next day... so either it wasn't it, or you're immune. :~)
You can hire yourself out as a poison ivy control service!
To: HairOfTheDog
I'll say!
I feel like it's a bit itchy...but it's not even red or raised so I'm thinking it psychological. And I'll be danged if anything psychological is gonna happen to ME!
Heh heh!

I managed to get either poison ivy or poison oak on my *face* once when I was in high school - only time I've ever experienced the stuff, but that was beyond bad.
Good morning - off to work in a minute here. Going in an hour earlier as we're doing some inventory stuff and it's easier to climb behind computers and all when there aren't so many people there. ;-)
To: 2Jedismom
Maybe you need therapy. :)

I'm a very happy camper right now.
I just handed over those 23 payrolls to my co-worker. What a relief!
