New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
(((Ruthy!)))
I've got the windows and sunroom open...
Now for some coffee.
Mornin'.
Thanks again, folks.
I feel a bit better today, although my eyes are so swollen I can't get my contact lenses in just yet. :-/
Hair - you're right about the blessing in it. I'm heartbroken, but I'm glad that I was here when his time came. And he went peacefully and with dignity - which is the least he deserved after a good, long life of being such a good boy.
12 years old is a very respectable age for a dog as big as he was - and he got to do a lot of things and travel a bunch when he was younger.
I hope Ramius and I are lucky enough to find a dog as wonderful as Scruffy when we decide to get one. :-)
~sigh~
In other news, Ramius is moving into our new home today. So that is a much-needed happy thought on an otherwise gloomy day!
That is good news! It will be better news when you move in too.
Morning, LSA made some eggs and crispy bacon for first breakfast this morning, weather is quite pleasant.
Looks like we've got about the same temperature as the HH compound by Western Sea.
gypsygirl will be getting her walk but we thinks the dogpark should be postponed until it dries out a bit.
Daylilies in full bloom, the mullien flowers are coming on splendidly. We'll have to see what the bunnies grazed on last night. 'Talking beavers' you say...Wonder if there any of those around these parts. According to the regional radar, it appears that G'nad's place is going to be fonked on again.
The bunnies like your coneflower.
You betcha!
I've got another 20 small- to medium-sized boxes packed and have reached the point where everything else is either going with me on the plane or shipped out last minute.
I have too many clothes here still, but since I'm still working I have to keep my office apparel available until the 23rd.
Morning - We give our hearts freely to our dogs and cats and when they leave us to wait by the Rainbow Bridge, a bit of us goes with them.
I'm so glad my move in will be easy. Just a couple things of clothes and my computer and whatever books I buy over the summer.
Absolutely true.
But it's a comfort to know it's not "goodbye", but rather "see you later".
Mornin'...
Oh, boy... really sore this morning... :-)
coffee pot is packed. dangit.
Count your blessings, chica.
I've never had to move by myself. It's no picnic.
Especially when it's three people worth of stuff! Ugh.
Alyson has already pitched a fit over a game that I packed. She's too little to understand that she'll get to play with it again soon.
It'll be like Christmas when the toys arrive in Washington. I'm looking forward to a few peaceful afternoons while the girls entertain themselves playing with all of their "new" stuff. :-)
Mornin', sweetheart.
I'm not surprised you're sore. You worked like a horse yesterday! A hot shower ought to help though.
No coffee!!?? Yikes!!
Is it at the new place already or can you unpack it there in the bach pad?
So I thought I'd share it and see if it's just me. :-)
Good morning ((((((((((Ruthy))))))))))))
Oh for the love of a dog. Hope you can feel better today. :~)
We were up n the night yellin' at a couple coyotes that were yipping and yammering right outside our back fence. Our dogs were snoring and quite useless.
Maybe it's because they're sort of "cousins". ;-)
Wish I knew a way to get those coyotes to vamoose, chica. That's just annoying to be woken up with them carrying on.
They're more of a curiousity than anything else as long as the cats are all inside where they should be at night.
If we killed these, more would move in... where there's woods and rabbits, there are coyotes. I figure, as long as these here stay outside the compound and wary of my voice, they can stay.
I'm wondering why they showed up all of the sudden though.
Unless they've been around forever and they just weren't as bold until now.
I think Hair has a solution to the rabbits, get a 'yote. :-)
