Until the stars are all alight

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;

Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone

Tree and flower and leaf and grass,

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,

That was just for the kids.
It's our "Royal Rangers" program at church. Sorry Ruthy, it's fer boys only. Although there were several sister there that did the games today. They usually open up these types of events to siblings.

Good evening!
In the last 24 hours, I have fed, bathed, put to sleep*, waked, fed, laundered for, entertained, partied with, fed, swam with, dried off, fed, played a silly card game with, and returned to their parents unscathed, my niece and nephew.
Jack Bauer's got nothing on me :)

Kinda spooked her, huh? We get that effect sometimes just in front of our garage doors. When it happens in the fall, and the leaves are on the driveway, we call it a Leaf-nado.
