New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
But wait. Aren't there like a kajillion-billion illegal immigrants banging down your door asking to mow your lawn for five bucks?
;-)
HOMEWARD BOUND
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing
And the sky is clear and red,
When the summer's ceased its gleaming,
When the corn is past its prime,
When adventure's lost its meaning,
I'll be homeward bound in time.
Bind me not to the pasture,
Chain me not to the plow.
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow.
[EXTRA PART]
When the sun is slowly setting
And the day is nearly through,
While my troubles I'm forgetting,
I'll be homeward bound to you.
[END EXTRA PART]
If you find it's me you're missing,
If you're hoping I'll return,
To your thoughts I'll soon be list'ning,
And in the road I'll stop and turn.
Then the wind will set me racing
As my journey nears its end
And my path I'll be retracing
When I'm homeward bound again.
Bind me not to the pasture,
Chain me not to the plow.
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow.
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing,
I'll be homeward bound again.
I'll be homeward bound again.

Ah - good... I was just listening to see if I recognized it.
I've been drinking all day...so I don't think it's that. Dunno what it is.
Well...got part of the front done and I ain't dead yet. But I wish the sun would go away...minus rain.
Heh... It's 72 degrees, nearly a perfect day. Picky picky :~)
At work? That's some job :~D
An interesting weekend. I was houseguest to a coke dealer. He'll retire from the Coca-Cola Company in September.
Such relatives and in-laws do my friends have.
They appear to have been conspiring something. I'll be passing along any discoveries as I discover them.
Good night,
Sleep tight,
Don't let
The bedbugs bite.
If they do,
Hit 'em with a shoe;
That'll do.
Well, then. Have a coke and a smile. ;-)
They always come up with the coolest displays in the store...
So Jr. he says to me, he says, "I won't be able to take on anything extra for the next few days. I have to learn my script and rehearse and stuff for the youth production."
I just stared at him and said, "Don't even ~think~ about playin' the 'I've got too much stuff to do' game with ~me~."
He started to challenge me, but thought the better of it.
Maybe he's learnable after all...
Evenin' folkses... :-)

That is excellent - that one will be making the rounds. Thanks for posting it.
Sorry, I think I've go too much going on to reply to any more posts for awhile ;~)
Yowie!
Hope that 'take on anything extra' doesn't include the newjob. :-)
's jush great...
I really like that movie. ;-) It's rather mindless, but good fun.
Mine?
