New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I saw that.
Mornin'!

Mornin'... [sip]
Kinda gray and windy here. Not sure if its s'posed to get wet or not.

:D
Saw what? :-)
You will go far with that attitude.
Mornin'... It's Kentucky Derby day, I've been making html for a pretty Runs for the Roses Live thread.
We're going to go for a trail ride this morning before the race.
Morning, sip, break, got the second raised bed turned; planting some cannas (gypsygirl is an excellent supervisor). We needs to get some sunflowers; ozark columbines getting ready to bloom, second grouping of iris need just a day or two of sun.
Corin; a bit of Smilax sp. planted amongst the flowers could add interest. :-)
It was *supposed* to be cool but sunny...here at least. Looks reluctant.
I'm brainstorming and sketching ways of keeping the dog outta the garden when I'm at work. I'm thinking it *could* be as simple as putting a T post at each corner and putting cord around it - wrap it every few inches to maybe three feet up. I could step over it, but it would be a visual barrier for him, I'd hope. He'd likely still pick at anything he could reach from the edges, but that maybe an OK compromise.
How do others deal with that? Or am I the only one who has a dog with that much run of the garden?
I think he's gonna get in it eventually unless you fence it off... I'm almost done with my temp fencing that's been around the new lawn. That would do it. T posts at each corner and maybe a few of these other temp posts to stabilize it.
I'd put the fencing a few feet out from the edge of the garden so you've got room to work.
Doesn't matter if he's in it now, maybe he'll help dig :~D
A moving truck? Or you've bought a truck?
It's either that, or fall asleep from the big McDonald's breakfast I just ate...
Rut roh! Breakfast coma on moving day!
Well...if I could borrow that, you're right, it'd probably work best.
So far he shows no inclination to help me dig when I'm digging...but he does like layin' down in the dirt. Or did yesterday afternoon when it was hot.
Good luck with the move!
I think we're ready to roll it up here... the grass is pretty well established... so you can have it before you get seeds in the ground.
