Morning, sip, break, got the second raised bed turned; planting some cannas (gypsygirl is an excellent supervisor). We needs to get some sunflowers; ozark columbines getting ready to bloom, second grouping of iris need just a day or two of sun.
Corin; a bit of Smilax sp. planted amongst the flowers could add interest. :-)
I'm brainstorming and sketching ways of keeping the dog outta the garden when I'm at work. I'm thinking it *could* be as simple as putting a T post at each corner and putting cord around it - wrap it every few inches to maybe three feet up. I could step over it, but it would be a visual barrier for him, I'd hope. He'd likely still pick at anything he could reach from the edges, but that maybe an OK compromise.
How do others deal with that? Or am I the only one who has a dog with that much run of the garden?
Looks like I've got some baby yew that migrated from theneighbor's yard.
