The Hobbit Hole XXIX - Until the stars are all alight...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 04/20/2006 2:10:46 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Until the stars are all alight

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Sure, come on over when you get a chance! Wish it wasn't kinda dripping, but...

I don't think the mower is that great, but it's probably a pretty good thirty-five dollar mower. ;-)

I'll have to learn how to use it. Sad, I suppose, but I've really never had a full lawn, and I don't know how to put gas in it or any of that. Or how to buy gas for it, for that matter.

Found 'em. Everything kinda got rearranged when everyone was coming, sometimes in very disorganized ways. ;-)

*Sigh*

I think I lost the motherboard. The motherboard fan isn't turning. (but all the others are!)

...or does that fan only come on when it's needed?

That's a great mower for $35. I think you'll be happy with it. They're pretty low maintenance.

Now I'm off to try to meet the dryer guy. I'd hoped to meet in Lacey, but he wants to meet somewhere else...somewhere off 101. Hope I can find it. I told him I didn't know that area at all, but...oh well.

Guess I'd better get. Just don't like the whole 101 deal...that turn off is confusing. Rather do something off I-5, but I'm not good at saying "No, we're doin' *this*."

The motherboard lives!

However, it doesn't like my ethernet card now.

I'm here for a few minutes, eating what is either a late lunch or an early dinner.

What doesn't the ethernet card like about your motherboard? Will your system boot without the card, and hang up with the card? Or will the system boot with the card, but not see the card?
