But to answer your question... no - I've not used one of them.... Can't advise about 'em.
See if they have one of those.
*sigh*
Yeah, that too. The screens are going to be a major project, though...having to build frames and all.
Ah - well, maybe the points aren't of any significance then.
Yeah, that's kinda what I meant - I've seen those for really cheap. Just wonder if you'd end up halfway through cooking the second meal and run out of gas...making them not worth it in the long run.
Well, not ~major major~
Not as major as the fence...but not something to tackle tonight, I don't think...
Don't go with gas for a small job like that.
Just go with charcoal and/or wood chips. Tastes better anyway.
And the fuel is easy to come by and easy to afford.
For your money value, I'd agree. We have a cheap gas grill that we're getting rid of. You have to spend a couple of hundred to get a decent gas grill.
I'm seriesly considering getting a charcoal grill and forgetting the gas grill.
'Course you could always hope someone drops one off a truck...
I'm just lousy at getting a charcoal grill going...and for one person, it doesn't seem worth it. Maybe I just need more practice, I dunno.
Also I'm lazy, and disposing of the ashes takes time. Yada yada yada.
You're probably right anyway, but...I'm lazy. Have I mentioned that?
I'm also cheap, though, and therefore conflicted.
I have to admit, it's nice to just flip a switch and the grill's ready... with briquettes you have to ~wait~
So I'm lazy and hasty... ;~D
Well in that case, get one of those George Foreman numbers like Hair & ecurbh have. :-)
The indoor thing? That doesn't solve my heat problem.
Oh, and I'm picky, too. ;-)
Maybe I should get a charcoal one and just get good at using it. The few times I've tried it, it's taken forever to even get the thing lit, and then another forever to get hot. For a group of folks, it's easier to deal with the hassle. I realize I can always cook enough to last me all week...so there's that.
At least, I'm assuming a George Foreman is an indoor grill...if they have one I've not seen it, but the ones I've seen before are plug-in.
Evenin' folkses... :-)
miss anything?
Yes, but it's not that easy with the cheapo ones.
I think it's white male cats that are usually deaf.
My cousin has a big, fat, white tomcat. Stone deaf, but he jumps in the car for a ride down the driveway when my cousin goes to work, and is waiting for him for another ride when he comes back. The cat is also fast, and can catch baby squirrels.
And I admit there's some appeal to being able to run to the grocery - or even just the store next door - if the fuel runs out.
Eh...guess I'd better think more about it. But it'd be nice to be able to make a buncha chicken to have with salad or sandwiches for lunch for a full work week, and grilled is lightyears beyond any other kind.
You want fast with some heat? - George Foreman.
You want slow with some heat? - charcoal.
Either way, you're gonna sweat if'n you stand right over it. *grin*
Looks like George Foreman wins again!
