The victim, a single mom who turned to exotic dancing to support her two kids, attends North Carolina Central University, a mostly black college in Durham.
She plans to keep a low profile until the students go on trial to avoid inflaming tensions in the black community, where opinion is running heavily against the privileged students.
One of the most hurtful things for the woman about the media circus surrounding the case, the cousin said, is the tendency to assume the worst about her because she is a stripper.
"She's a victim and she's a human being," the cousin said. "Her occupation couldn't justify that a crime like this was committed."

How many millions in damages are going to be sought by all the people involved in this matter, if it turns out to be a lie?

I believe Seligman's family is already preparing counter suits against the hooker and other players. The best defense is a ruthless offense.
My great uncle was an Episcopal priest and he had 2 daughters and a son who definitely were not saints....the son became a communist. My grandfather was a Baptist minister and my dad had plenty of stories about himself and his brothers while they were growing up. LOL (OUR family was/is Lutheran...go figure. lol)
I'm with you. I want to know those questions. Normally, it wouldn't matter, but the papers have made her out to be so honorable and worthy. It doesn't fit with her record, her associates, or her occupation.
I can finally make out the flip-flop! The next logical step would be checking John Kerry's whereabouts that night. LOL
LOL!!!
He was watching the strippers before he wasn't watching the strippers.
We were actually brought up Catholic but after my parents divorced when I was 8, my mom married my dad (stepdad) when I was 14 and we became Espicopalian. And my brother is married to a strict Baptist girl and goes to her church. Oh, the stories she has told. LOL
You really and truely believe she was raped don't you???
You're singing to the wrong choir here, so why don't you start your own thread about the guilt of the Duke Lacrosse Players?
The rest of us will stay here and discuss this miscarriage of justice.
Thanks
hehehe.
I finally made out the flip flop too, but only after other freepers identified what we were looking at.
Yes, and Kim was getting into her jeans.
And I just bet she's not claiming her extra income to whatever agency she's getting the goodies from.
"You need to take off those glasses that cloud your eyes with self righteousness and see how the world really is."
The way it is - if underage boys hire strippers and get drunk, bad things can happen. That is how the world really is. I guess they have found that out the hard way. Too bad.
At this point it is irrelevant who lied. These guys are charged with very serious crimes and I doubt they will be dismissed. So they (their parents) have had to spend thousands of dollars for bond and lawyers, their lacrosse season is done, and their reputations ruined. You think they think watching a stripper was worth it?
That's what threw me off.
That's right -- Kim had to change so she was in the bathroom at one point. And the players, as far as we know, all allege both women were in the bathroom for 20 minutes or more and they were shoving $$ under the door and encouraging them to leave.
It's hard enough to get 20 freepers to agree on any given thread so I think it would be pretty difficult to have 20 guys continue to tell the same story without some of them breaking and telling what the DA wants to be the truth - that 3 guys took Crystal into the bathroom and raped her but Kim didn't notice.
That's not her body in the shoe pic, that's some guy's lower leg. Look for the flip flop.
I think you agree with me now.
It's irrelevant who is lying???????????????? PLEASE, I'm begging you, don't EVER sit on a jury.

And the one guy is charged with assault in Washington, DC.

And I suppose YOU'VE never killed anyone before? Gee, aren't WE little miss perfect!?!
