Yes, LE can obtain a search warrant for out of state jurisdiction from courts in that jurisdiction, if the crime they are investigating is a felony in that state (again, I'm only speaking from personal experience, every state varies. (got a free trip to Las Vegas once myself!)

When I first got on this thread, my theory was A. Nifong had something up his sleeve or B. Was the World's Dumbest DA.

Howlin is right - the DA is truly that dumb.

The stripper's case is falling apart at a rapid rate. Nifong would have a better case against Ted Kennedy doing the deed at that house right now....
