Posted on 04/19/2006 4:37:00 AM PDT by MindBender26

Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:

Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.

Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.

12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.

Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.

LOL, I don't know.

I was pleased to hear one of Reade's friends refer to Mangum's boss as a pimp tonight in an interview.

It's about time this was talked about a lot more.

I didn't and I don't. I knew it was time for me to go sleepy nites when I hit the post button. Too sleepy to explain my sarcasm. Sorry y'all.

The rape shield laws have made me angry for years.

We have two anonymous females who are making allegations, tossing grenades, and being body snatched by their spokespersons: Kim Gilleford (sp), social activists, neighbors, the tv people: Their faces are what appear. These faces are what project an image.

It infuriates me that "others" pretend to "speak" for the alleged victims from their safe "perches". These "spokespersons" for the "alleged victims" which includes the MSM, feminists, black activists always pray and hope the "alleged" victims don't come out of the shadows -- and why? How the heck would these pretenders to the throne of victimhood not be able to play their scripts in rising to celebrityness and jumping in front of the microphones.

I see the "strippers" as suicide bombers, and all these "speaking for the invisible victim" mentalities as social terrorists, making demands.

This is not so for the Duke Boys -- everyone knows who they are. It's fair to sympathize with them; but keeping these strippers anonymous? You are only supposed to *really* sympathize with their spokespersons.

Damned trial by media and the media Sycophants known as "social activists".

Yeah. What happened to the sodomy and the oral ( forced fellatio ? ) charge. Or will that always be pinned on the phantom third player ?

My hunch is the politically correctly nuanced gay lobby, after the first headlines of raped, sodomized, forced fellatio, threatened the DA within an inch of his life if he DARED bring up those two charges in the public merry-go-round, again.

Gay lobby is trying to get rid of all anti-sodomy laws in every state. And so, most people think "sodomy" is only about anal sex between "brokeback guys". It ain't.

But you're right -- the mysterious "3rd guy". Yep, no doubts that'll be who the DA "pins" that one on. But we'll know when we see the talking heads and writing pinheads do their pre-massaging of the masses by talking about the beauty of a "third sexuality", how beautiful it is; and when they bring up that over-used, worn out old slogan that all sports players and most all men are "latently gay" followed by commercials of "everyone does it".

The Anonymity Rape Shield Laws, devised by feminists, are like a psuedo witness protection program: She was "witness" to her own rape. And because she was witness to her own rape, someone might try to hurt her; therefore, let's "protect her" from her own "witness" of her own "rape".

This is crap.

(Pssst ... I was thinking the same thing, but but didn't want to offend any Duke alums)

I don't consider it offensive to be viewed as a man who it's safe for a woman to be around. These girls are probably used to men who beat the crap out of them just for "fun".

The Anonymous Rape Shield Laws are much more like a "hostage" taking. "We are holding this victim "hostage" while we sell our products using her "witness" to do so. We need her to be anonymous so we can SPEAK, and have the platform to stage the case, not in court, but in the courtroom of the public mind.

Carolina third rate--I really don't think so, however, I will throw no bricks!

That was strictly tongue in cheek. That being said, UNC apparently didn't do too well teaching law to Nifong.

General discharge - not honorable. Usually indicative of bad behavior. Getting preggers by another sailor, not your husband, would do it.

lol!!!

The guys were revved for a party: The strippers were boring. The night was young; plus these strippers were so unprofessional, the guys wasted no time in leaving a bad "vibration" scene caused by the strippers.

Me. It had Virginia tags. I never made the effort to identify the 3 residents of the house and whether one of them was from Virginia but I'll bet it's the case. Seems unlikely that the car belonged to Mangum as it was in the garage.

I didn't say he raped anybody. The timeline I was talking about is the one available to me at the time I posted. New info is emerging all the time. Why is everyone so agenda-driven on this case?

"She's not an airline control officer."

Are you saying that it is a good choice to show up for work loaded as long as one is not an airline control officer?

By the way, what is an airline control officer? I am unfamiliar with that terminology.

Me. And you have it just about right. It was video on the news at the NCCU hatefest. The cop did not look happy to be there. I think it may have been the chief of police but I'm not sure about that. I'm paraphrasing so this may not be 100% correct. I can look up the exact quote if you really need it. He was asked if he thought there was a valid case against the lax team since the DNA came back negative. He looked at the ceiling, bounced on his heels and replied "The DA says the case is going forward, so the case goes forward."

YES!! That was it!

That is why when I heard the former Det. on O'Reilly last night say what he said, I completely believed it.

I hope that doesn't end up being gallows humor.
