Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:
Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.
A JUDGE told me that a DA wouldn't do that, when posited regarding how the lineup may have been done (prior to these reports).
He said unequivocably that a photo lineup would have more choices than the team. He said it would most likely include pictures of policemen (not in uniform)or police recruits from other jurisdictions and/or others that could NOT have been involved.
He was emphatic. This is a FEDERAL JUDGE.
.
And that's saying a lot !!
If the defense doesn't ask for a change of venue and get it, then the boys might as well plead guilty. There's no way in hell they'll stand a chance in Durham, the jury would just be a rubber stamp for the prosecution.
More often than not, when I read your posts, I think "Who is that masked man?" LOL!
Do you believe that people ever pick up animal hairs on their clothing?
"Anyone know if a person in NC can only vote in a party primary if they are registered to that party?"
I think anyone can vote. If not, I'd be shocked, since there aren't any Republicans running (WTF is up with that?) and this primary will essentially BE the election.
I thought Howlin said it is a closed primary, but I could be wrong. GA has an open primary system. I voted for Jesse Jackson in the Dem. primary in 1991 in a futile bid to stop the momentum of the Comeback Kid.
Beginning to think the prosecutor needs to be disbarred.
The neighbor, Jason Bissey, told Newsday yesterday that he did not know what transpired inside the house, but in its front yard and side driveway he saw and heard a series of tense exchanges between the two women and a group of up to 30 lacrosse players.
Bissey, 26, and his roommate, Derek Anderson, 23, who are not Duke students, said the women hurriedly jumped into a car to leave. Bissey said one young man then made his way across the street to the so-called "Duke wall" that rings part of the campus, shouted a sexist slur, then "Thank your grandpa for my nice cotton shirt."
---
Neighbor Jason Bissey said he's seen many loud parties at the house, and clearly remembered the one on March 13.
He recalls seeing two women enter the house and leaving 15 to 20 minutes later with 20 to 30 students shouting something about money. One partyer persuaded the women to return.
After another 20 to 30 minutes, the women left hurriedly and sped off -- but not before one partyer shouted: "Hey, b----. Thank your grandpa for my nice cotton shirt."

The accuser is dropped off at about 11:45, about a half hour after the other (second) stripper arrived. By midnight, according to a photo, the two are almost naked on the beige carpet in front of their visibly happy audience. But by 12:03, the mood has turned: in a photo, the women are standing and the second stripper appears to be reaching toward the guys, all of whom have lost their smiles. She slaps one of them for suggesting the alleged victim use a broom as a sex toy, according to Ekstrand. Then both women lock themselves in the bathroom, Ekstrand details. The partygoers get nervous about what the women are up to and start slipping money under the door asking them to leave, says Bill Thomas, a lawyer who represents one of the captains.
The women go out to the second stripper's car at about 12:20, but the accuser has left her purse behind; she goes back inside to get it, according to Ekstrand. A photo at 12:30 shows the alleged victim standing outside the back door of the house looking down into two bags with what appears to be a smile. She's wearing only her scant red-and-white outfit and one shoe. By the time she realizes she's missing a shoe--a few minutes later--the guys have locked the door to keep her out, say the attorneys. A 12:37 photo shows she's lying on the back stoop; she fell, according to Ekstrand. Her elbow is dusted and scraped, and her ankle is cut and bleeding.
At 12:41 she gets into the car, and one of the partygoers appears to be helping her. In a call to a police dispatcher at about 1:30 made public last week, one of the first officers to see the accuser, in a parking lot, said she was "passed-out drunk" but "not in distress." Since the release of the recording, Ekstrand has suggested that if any assault happened, it was after the accuser left the house. Defense attorneys said last week that no DNA had been found on or inside the accuser. She was never alone in the house for more than about 10 minutes, according to their timeline.
The second woman supports the partygoers' story, says Thomas, who says he has seen a summary of an interview with her conducted by a member of the defense team. "Their versions are basically identical," he says. But Mark Simeon, an attorney for the second dancer, tells NEWSWEEK that Thomas's claim is not accurate. "She rejects the notion that she agrees with their timeline. I've shown their story line to my client, and she says there's a lot that's wrong with it.
Thomas replies, "She has given us several statements, so I don't see any room for her to change her story now simply because she has a lawyer speaking for her." Nifong could not be reached for comment.

Question: is this statement true:
12:30: A photo at 12:30 shows the alleged victim standing outside the back door of the house looking down into two bags with what appears to be a smile.
Two bags???
FGS, Nancy Grace's show, with a sub hosting, has already made about four misstatements.
"They searched BOTH players' room." Not true.
"And will Durham's sitting Grand Jury indict a third player?"
Ah, they're NOT sitting.
Crystal MaNgum - you left the N out.
Crystal Gail Mangum 27 - going on 60.
.
Kevin Miller is saying that the DNA results may not be back until the end of the week or NEXT week.
Of course not!
Except at my house.....or my moms house....or the vets office....or a neighbors house. :-)
Kevin,
You don't know college students.
They do things in the middle of the night all the time, including ATM trips.
I THINK (IMO) this 2nd round of testing is just the first tests being re-submitted to another lab - in this case a PRIVATE lab. The SBI didn't deliver for the DA, so he's sparing NO EXPENSE - IMO.
Well, that is NOT the way they did it according to the defense team and WRAL.
thanks
I guess.
I thought that had been changed since then but maybe it was just talk. I believe Republicans crossed over and toppling McKinney in her primary.
Democrats did that with Buchannon over Bush as well.
Kevin Miller on Nancy Grace is WRONG.
I read that the victim in the Gay case (in DC) said that Finnerty was not the one to call him names, and It was 3 people involved - NOT 2.
