According to what Holloway's friends have told authorities, the blond-haired, blue-eyed van Cromvoirt was seen with their classmate after she left van der Sloot - the pals say they saw them in the Holiday Inn casino together. But when the casino's video surveillance tapes were turned over to police, investigators could find no sign of Holloway and van Cromvoirt, the source noted.
Van Cromvoirt's father is the security expert in charge of video surveillance at the hotel.
Aruban authorities are also scrutinizing a surveillance tape taken earlier on May 30 that shows Holloway arguing with a light-haired young man in a jewelry store in the Wyndham Hotel, according to the source.
They're trying to determine if the man is van Cromvoirt.
A source said police records indicate that "Natalee told her mom and others she was in love with a blond-haired, blue-eyed Dutch kid."
Holloway's mother assumed the youth was van der Sloot, though he has darker hair.

Second, let this be a lesson to all armchair jurors who are so sure a person is a murderer based on TV reports. Now many will be sure this "new" kid killed her and the father edited the surveillance tapes.
Many many times things we are sure must be the truth just aren't.

I do remember Natalie's freinds mentioning something about her being in love with a blue eyed boy and I assumed that she was talking about Joran. I don't recall hearing about Natalie calling her Mom though. Interesting...

But yet here you both are talking about something you apparently can't stand the coverage of....it always cracks me up when people complain about threads that they are posting on.
But recently, the Aruban LE went to Alabama and interviewed the high school kids, so maybe some of Natalee's friends spoke about the new suspect.
It's a very interesting new twist to this case.

Actually, I'm not talking about the Natalie thing at all. And the other person you pinged is the one who posted the thread in the first place.
Natalie is dead. They don't know who killed her. When they know who killed her, that will be news. At this point, it's all just speculation. It sounds like an old TV soap opera. I expect Natalie to come back to life and show back up on the show any time, with a story about how she was abducted by three gay aliens and finally escaped.
Joran's eyes are brown. I heard this long ago and dismissed it on grounds that many teens here wear colored contacts for fashion, so I figured that must be how Joran might be 'the one.'

How long was she away? When did her flight arrive on Aruba and when was the flight on which she was scheduled to leave?
