Last November I described the Free Software's Surprising Affinity with Catholic Doctrine. Since then, several important things happened, from feedback by Stallman and other Free SW users to the birth, or acceleration, of some projects specifically based on the concept that Christians have even more reasons than others to adopt Free Software.

So you're saying Christians should take paying jobs?
It seems you missed my point.
I could careless if people want to spend their time creating things and giving them away.
I do care when people try to define free software as being "Christian". With the implication being software that is sold (i.e. people being rewarded for their labor) is somehow less than Christian. To that I strongly disagree - and so should you.
No offense, but if that was the point of your post in #2 on this thread, you didn't do a particularly good job of making it. My response was strictly on the comments you posted.
I can see that and you have a point, I hate it when people try to define software as communist. I think the title of the article is off but some of the points within are on OSS can save churches money which can then be used for other missions.
I do disagree. While the Bible says to help others, it also says that making a living by work is a good thing. OTOH, as someone pointed out, creating an open source program can get you rewards for your work, just not directly in money.
To me, this article mainly helps to counter the idiots who say OSS is communist.
I understand and appreciate the clarification.
