Tell Comedy Central what you think!
South Park (tonight) ^

Posted on 04/12/2006 7:57:27 PM PDT by Pukin Dog

Everyone knows that I love South Park.

On tonight's episode, South Park allowed the desecration of the American Flag and Jesus with fecal matter, but would not allow an image of Mohammad. It was done to make a point about how weak and gay the networks are in bowing to terrorism.

I think the episode was to send a message to all of us that will will not accept the media bowing to terrorism, but allowing anything that might offend Americans. If they can show Catholics, Scientologists, and most any thing else guaranteed to be controversial to some, but not show the image of Muhammad, we have already lost the war against terrorism.

You can tell Comedy Central what you think of their sensorship selections at http://www.comedycentral.com/help/help.jhtml where you can use the "viewer feedback form" link to tell them what you think. Crap on the flag, but protect Mohammad? Will you let that go without a statement?

Just a minor point, for what it's worth:

SP didn't portray Jesus desecrating the flag; it portrayed muslims portraying Jesus desecrating the flag (reminiscent of Iran belittling the holocause in response to the mohammad cartoons).

So, while attacking Comedy Central, they also showed muslims as overreacting, mean-spirited and childish to the extreme.

Did you even get the point about the episode?

Everything is okay. Or nothing is okay. That was the point.

I laughed so hard I broke into a coughing spell last night watching it, and knew, just knew, that someone would post an "I'm offended" kind of comment here.

Guess what? I pay a premium fee to have it pumped into my television.

I have a remote control that can change the channel if I don't like what I'm seeing. One of the buttons even turns it OFF. What an amazing thing.

you install the program then download a small file, a "torrent" then that tells the program what files to download. i use bitlord. bitlord.com

BitLord rocks -- it'll get a workout with the season premiere of "Doctor Who" on BBC1 Saturday night...

I don't know what you folks don't get. I LOVED the episode. IS that not clear? I believe that the show wanted people to be angry at Comedy Central for what they allowed versus what they didn't allow. Don't give me a kneejerk response, read what I said.

...and since CC just told National Review that they did indeed pull the image, it looks like I was wrong. Mea culpa.

Thanks for the link. Comedy Centraldisgraced itself in the way it edited South Park. South Park made fools of the network by demonstrating their extreme hypocrisy.
