This is a very well done piece with screenshots....
I use the FasterFox and ForecastFox, tab browsers preferences....but I am looking for more good stuff.
Got Xinha Here ....an HTML Editor but don't know how to use it yet ....

Some people on Digg.com mentioned this extension, which I have used before. Fasterfox lets you tweak everything I mentioned in the networking about:config and a few other options. I originally didnt include Fasterfox because it tweaks a few things that could possibly slow down Firefox, such as the initial paint delay. On a side note, some admins on various servers started banning the Fasterfox prefetch routine and some have gone to the extent of IP banning, so be careful with what you install.

It is indeed, super duper.
I wish somebody would come up with an extension that blocks Akamai and other content providers. I don't need to be having my browser basically pinging their servers all the time.(and the resultant slower response)
Check out Adblock. It works great.

Damn good....thanks...
Long time ago, I was using IJB, Internet Junkbusters, which worked great. But it takes some maintenance, and since I build and reformat computers all the time, I kinda fell away from using it.
I had the text file of blocked sites and filters up to about 50K's worth of crud.

points 3/4ths of the add servers on the net to 127.0.0.1
I see very few adds and banners.
How/where do you download it? I've been digging through half a dozen Mozilla pages for the last half hour, and can't find a download.
Sometimes those Linux type folks really have their heads up their... well, you know.
Also, if you install Adblock, I'd also recommend Filterset.G. It's a blacklist for Adblock, so you won't have to bother teaching Adblock all the sites you want blocked.
bookmark.
Thanks. I installed them both. Initial trials make me think it may take a while to train.
