Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Chris [Martin] Welcome Their Second Child
Hello! magazine ^ | 4/10/06 | Unattributed

Posted on 04/10/2006 8:26:44 PM PDT by Huntress

Serene actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her rock star husband Chris Martin have perfectly balanced up their family with the birth of a baby boy to join their little girl, Apple.

The new arrival, Moses, was born in New York City over the weekend, but no further details were immediately available.

It's a very family time for the 33-year-old Oscar winner, who has recently been directed by her brother Jake in the comedy The Good Night. And though she once said she would take time out of her career to bring up her children, the Shakespeare In Love star seems to be managing to juggle it all – she is signed up for two movie projects in 2006, one of them a Watergate drama and the other a Marlene Dietrich biopic, in which she will take the lead role.

She and Brit Chris, lead singer for the chart-topping group Coldplay, divide their time between the States and Europe, with homes in London and New York. They were reported to have bought birthing pools for both residences.

The new arrival, Moses . . .

As celebrity baby names go, Moses isn't terrible. It sure beats Apple.

I was thinking Avocado or Tangerine Dream. Or Doc, and they could hyphenate. Doc Martin-Paltrow.

An upcoming movie on Watergate? How timely.

And when they ask Gwynneth which one she loves more she can say "That's comparing Apples and Oranges"

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Oprah interview Gwyneth Paltrow right after she had Apple. Gwyneth loves being a mom, she didn't have a governess or a nanny. Oprah asked her when she would go back to work and Gwyneth replied that she didn't really care about working, that her baby was first in her life. I don't care for her politics, but she has the right attitude and skills for raising children.

It doesn't say what era. Maybe it will concern the Monica Lewinsky years at the Watergate.

Or the call girl ring in the early 1970s.

I am guessing she will play the part of Maureen Dean..the uh..without being sued..the escort services wife of scumbag john dean..who knows..in this version they will probably implicate Bush Sr. since he was the GOP chairman during watergate..don't let truth get in the way of a good lie..or movie..

Well, this article brought on the helpless giggles. Apple? APPLE? Imagine saying "And this is my little girl, Apple." And Moses? I just can't see myself saying "This is my son, Moses." Or "Moses, you quit teasing your sister Apple right this minute!" Maybe they picked the names out of a hat.

I have a theory on this Hollywood name garbage:

To belong to the Screen Actors Guild, you must have a name different from any name previously used in the guild. I guess Apple Martin was a good bet. Now, Moses...might have been taken.

Either way, Gweneth's a slut.
