I remember the old show. Even though I saw it with the less than critical kid's eyes, I have to say, 'Baloney!"

At least he's not all "sour grapes" like the old Starbuck.

Any version that does not have that invisible cylon blond woman or the wimpy dude that was elected president would be an improvment. Yes it is fiction but science fiction only works if it is at least probable.

Seems like I read somewhere that he was prohibited from showing the full trailer for some reason. Is that still true?

Hatch's character should prove interesting. A Marxist terrorist turned VP won't be boring that's for sure.

The new BSG jumped the shark in the season finale IMO.

Hatch is smoking crack. I got both originals after Season One of BSG:2005. The entire death of the colonies was wrapped up in THIRTY minutes versus 3 hours for the new series.

And of course the next 60 minutes were extraordinaliry painful as I watched them land on some stupid insect hive planet resort.

Hatch is dreaming if a continuation would be better. DREAMING.

Richard Hatch is a talented man, and a great actor. He pretty much developed the Tom Zarek character by himself (acc. to Ronald D. Moore).

Still and all, this should be taken as pipe dreaming. First off, if timelines were followed, Adama's character would probably be as dead as Loren Green. That would probably mean that Col. Tigh (depends on whether it's Michael Hogan...character is older than TNS Adama... or Terry Carter...younger than TOS Adama), or perhaps Apollo himself would command Galactica after a generation has passed.

IIRC, Boxey in TOS was Apollo's son. Somehow i just can't see Jamie Bamber playing Boxey.

The one thing that i did like about the reimaging was getting rid of the "aristrocratic" nature of Adama and his family. Adama is a better character as a gruff old Navy guy.

Have to say that the Cylons have improved in quality as well, both the "skin jobs" (especially the 'women'), as well as the "toasters". The Centurians look MUCH more menacing than did TOS Cylons, Thank God for CGI, and in the case of the female Skin Jobs, Victoria's Secret.

He's just mad because he isn't a main character anymore.

Nah. Any show that has asteroids with atmospheres needs to die. I seen the project, and I liked it, but BSG re-imagined has (had?) a lot more potential.

That said, the writers of the current BSG are stupid beyond belief. I have only seen the stuff on DVDs, but I also follow the BSG group. The writers don't have a clue about the military, convoys, shipboard discipline, computers, etc. This season's finale was absolutely moronic. I think they're addicted to cheap drama and loathing the military.

Wow, is he still bitter about the new show? You'd think having a recurring role in it would have appeased him. It must really rankle that he couldn't get his vision through and that the new show is incredibly good.
