I like Phil. He's actually my favorite because I'm a lefty too :)
LOL...Jack Bauer doesn't make BOGIES...if his ball is off line, he shoots a NEW HOLE in the green!
Chuck Norris doesn't have to worry about trees. If any of them get in the way, he roundhouse kicks them down.....
Phil looks like he has lost the "chocker" mentality....we'll have to see.
One great golfer, for sure!
Nor am I and yes he has. Same for Freddy. Excellent finish amongst the best the sport has to offer.........despite their blatant steroid use......LOL! How else can you explaint Freddy's performance in his late 40's?
"Chocker"....no more beer!
He is not playing like "Chokelson". He played robo golf last week in Atlanta. Tiger just pitched his chance at the 17th
Golf is kind to the middle-aged. I was puzzled earlier, though, when a commentator suggested that Mr. Couples' age had something to do with his missing some short putts! Lower yardage off the tee I can understand, but 80-year-olds who can't walk across the green unassisted sink 2-foot putts all the time. GO VIJAY!
My god, you can play grat golf til 70! I'm older than Freddy and still play good golf. You don't need drugs....although today he could have used something to relieve his back pain.
Darn! I forgot all about how Jack Bauer would have played the Masters! Definitely would have added a new dimension as well as additional intimidation to the other players......LOL! Made my day, thanks for the laugh!
I agree, but the analysts point out continually that middle aged golfers don't putt as well as the younger guys......nerves and eyesight???
Yeah, 'roids my eye....suppose Jack Nicklaus was on 'em too, back in '86??
Tiger bog's 17 to suffer some more. Probably the last Master's that his Dad will see?
Great to see Freddy and Phil talking as they walk...
Maybe they won't...but they should. My guy just finished on 18.....VJs done.
There have been a lot of "what ifs" today. Tiger sure had some....2 putts for eagle within 10 feet and missed....wow!
Maybe older golfers spend more time working on their drives and long irons, and so their putting game slips. My dad, the Captain (70 in June) seems to agonize over his drive more than the rest of his game together.
I didn't remember hearing that, but perhaps he meant that Couples's putting has been getting away from him in recent years, which is definitely true. The reason why Couples isn't winning any tournaments anymore isn't because of his ball-striking or his course management, but because he can't putt.
It's pretty much a guarantee that anyone who is using a belly putter or a long putter or a claw-grip or a cross-handed grip is doing it out of desperation.
That 16th HAS to be one of the most greatest? golf hole...maybe 18 at Pebble too, but the snazziest par 3?
"Drive for show and putt for dough"!
