i'm no green freak but i think a sea lion is more important than a fish. when determining which one to kill intelligence should be a factor

The biggest violator is sea lion C-404
I hate it when biologists give animals, cutesy, anthropomorphic names.

[The efforts to harass the sea lions enough to scare them away from Bonneville Dam will last through May.]
They've been trying to scare them off for years, they're not gonna solve the problem by may.
The animal rights huggers are going to go ballistic but the salmon will benefit. Sacrifice a few to save many. :-)

These odious eco-nuts had no problem denying farmers water a few years ago. So that their salmon had enough water to spawn and run. Yet they let some sea lions kill off 10% of their precious salmon. And it can only get worse as more sea lions come for a free lunch, and a free dinner and a free breakfast buffet

Sea lion C404 is seen in the fish ladder at Bonneville Dam Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in Cascade Locks, Ore. Numerous sea lions head for the dam each spring, but C404 is in a class alone. Extra gates, firecrackers, rockets, and rubber bullets so far haven't kept the whiskered rascal out. They will have to think up new strategies, but can't kill C404 because sea lions are protected under the 1972 Marine Mammal Protection Act. (AP Photo/Rick Bowmer) AP - Mar 31 9:24 PM

It's about time they start killing the sea lions and the seals. The blame for salmon shortages has always been laid on fisherman when the truth is that predators are the biggest reason for the salmon decline.
