Accuser's Criminal Record. Another web-site said that her license has been suspended 3 times Also.
Joe Cheshire, who represents co-captain Dave Evans, told reporters he is certain the call was made by the SECOND DANCER, whose identity has not yet surfaced publicly. The caller alternatively told a police dispatcher the pair were driving and walking past the house.
My comments: This is something I believed from day one and it can be demonstrated by using the police report (2 min response to first 911 call) and the neighbor's statement.

This case smells real bad. Steals a Car from a man she's doing lap dances for? Go out with her boyfriend the following day, yet needs another day to remember ANY details..

So, it's okay to paint the team as criminals and thugs because of open-container and underage drinking violations, BUT
It doesn't say anything about the accuser when she STOLE a CAR from a man she was doing Lap Dances for, took Police on a two county, High speed chase and then when the Policemen tried to approach her vehicle, she tried to run him over. She also has a DWI and 3 license suspensions. Now, she's a Full-time college student she says, why hasn't SHE been SUSPENDED?
Why no marches or candlelight vigils on Campus to bring attention to Violence towards law enforcement officers?
Why no links in the Media to her college and her crimes?
Did the culture at NCCU foster and foment an environment where Stealing Cars, evading Police, and trying to run over cops is accepted??
Wonder why the Media hasn't asked these pertinent questions?
In fact, tonight they are STILL printing articles (with no new information) on the Lacrosse team having a swagger and the Coach resigning and should the Athletic Director resign?
One Commentary says Duke should never be allowed to have a lacrosse team again. This with no charges, and assorted open-container violations at a off-campus Frat-house?

The woman's name is: Crystal Magnum
I believe she changed her name to this, officially.
She told the Raleigh N&O, she was new to dancing and she didn't want to go in that night - and she almost didn't.
Further investigation revealed she has been a regular at Strip clubs AND dancing at private parties for over 5 years. If you notice she as doing a lap dance in 2002 when she stole the guys car. The media even said it was her 2nd time dancing. The N&O said, multiple times, that she was a single mother working her way through college as a dancer, and had no other options. They made her sound like Mother Teresa and I'm not exaggeratting. A lot of local people on the Radio call her THE NEW ROSA PARKS, because of her Royal treatment in the media.

I'm not so sure she didn't change her name to Crystal Magnum.
I was told her name IS CRYSTAL MAGNUM, don't know if that's the truth though. She had the license suspensions - and the larceny, assault on a Gov't Official, maybe she wanted a new name? I know she is divorced.
I think, from all the inconsistencies, that she has a major problem with the truth. I suspect that if the DA wasn't up for relection in a Black City in a month - she wouldn't have been taken seriously with all the anomalies and inconsitencies in her story.
There was a police station less than a mile away, yet they drove 2.5 miles to a Supermarket and then asked a Security guard to call 911 when they had a cellphone. The other dancer then lied to police and said she picked the woman walking close to Kroger half dressed. She left and left the woman with Police. The Police said NEITHER dancer Made EITHER 911 call and they were certain. The DA repeated it. Later, the DA was forced to admit to the local press, that the SECOND DANCER was, in fact, the woman in the background in the Kroger 911 call. This begs many questions. Some of her clothes are missing. Her cellphone, pocketbook, and shoe was found right where she left them in the bathroom, but other clothes are missing.. Did it look or sound more dramatic to have her walk half naked to get help? Did they get the Kroger Security Guard involved when a pay phone was there and they had a cell phone - for corroboration. So, it would be more than a he said - she said ?

Still doesnt make the player who sent that nasty email look too good . I am not making any judgements on this case until the DNA comes out and the rest of the story comes forth . (In a believable manner.) This post seems to be trashing the girl a bit too much for me. Where theres underage AND plenty of drinking there are bound to be problems. Plus the neighbors of these college students didnt have ANYTHING good to say about these boys except that they were a problem from day one.
They were a problem from day one. Well no more than Off-campus college fraternities are for their neighbors that are NOT students. They had this same problem in near NC state and it got to be quite the feud. Also, the lacrosse team has the highest graduation rate of any sports team at Duke. That's not consistent with Animal House.
One cannot compare open-container and underage drinking violations with STEALING a CAR and TRYING To RUN over a COP.
Why does her behavior get a pass? You don't believe she did those things or has the Overwhelming media coverage skewing your thinking on this case.

My data base does not show a crytsal magnum or an alias as such. You are raising a few eyebrows as a new poster on this subject. I am not doubting your sincerity but maybe your motive. Are you connected to this story somehow?

I know I was told by a local media guy her name was Crystal Magnum. I mentioned it to someone else (in e-mail) and they demanded to know how I knew that. I was accused by that Newspaper Editor of being a Defense attorney.
Jeez, lots of conspiracy theories.
Everything I say can be verified by the name and that's because the media has rules where you can trash one side into oblivion and you can't say anything about the other side.

To be honest you have swayed me more into thinking theres much more to this case then what I have been following. By chance are you on that lacrosse team? You sound like a very angry person. The truth will come out or it will be bought off. I wouldnt worry too much over this. I think the girl will just fade away or the case will be dropped. What doesnt look good is the players who have left the country or those emails. Sorry you just are defending a bunch of drunken boys by slamming the girl. When theres drinking there are all kinds of problems. As for the girl I dont know what really happened. Her past is her business. IF she is dancer/stripper so what? If she stole cars so what? Does that mean she deserves to get raped? I dont think so. Welcome to free republic.
Well, I don't know. The local media guy is my friend. He had told me 8 days ago that the woman had a very interesting Criminal record. So, I started e-mailing the local papers and asking them why they haven't printed it while they printed the pictures, names, and records of EVERY white member of the team, and many of these guys were teenagers.
I didn't know the record until it was printed.. well, I was told that her license was suspended 3 times and there was a small website that reported that:

I live real close and I'm am angry. My two best friends are recent Duke Grads and I've spent a lot of time on campus.
I did talk to some friends of the players, the only consistent thing I could get out of them was that they said one dancer arrived drunk or high and that the confrontation was over Money.
I am a Duke Supporter. I didn't trust the Media before this.

I am not either, I'm a Jersey girl. ps.....I know many dancers. So you are not going to tell me these things never happen. They do and rich boys think they can get away with anything. IF its RAPE then they need to go to JAIl. IF you are so interested in rape cases why dont you look up the case where the 1989 Glen Ridge NJ high school football players raped the mentally handicapped girl.
There is some "speculation" that the dancing (and the racial and crude comments) maybe on videotape. There was a lot of drinking.
The Defense attorney are VERY confident and one went on local radio and said they can PROVE that one dancer only danced for 3 minutes and then tried to leave with $800.00 Of course, the girls say it was because of racial eptithets that they wanted to leave, but one has a history of ripping off her customers.
If you look at it on its face, these are VERY good Defense attorney (I think two are ranked in top 100), so it's very unusual that they went out so far on a limb and totally ruled out consensual sex. Attorneys have learned the hard way they will get burned by listening to their clients. So, I think the Lawyer's investigators have revealed something that confirms the story or makes it highly unlikely that sex took place.
I think the woman broke her nails while she was struggling to leave with the $800.00, when the took the money, she powered on her phone to call the police and someone knocked the phone out of her hand. It's entirely plausible and just a theory.
In the first 911 call which I'm sure was made by the OTHER Dancer, she says how Angry she is (goes to motive). She tries to link them to another supposed racial crime and in Durham - that's a BIG thing. This explains how she knows the address, when the house is NOT marked.
But, remember, in that first 911 call, she says "I'm not hurt in any way" and "I don't know if it's an emergency". It's also an unusually long 911 call, and police arrive TWO MINUTES later to an empty, dark house. And why drive to a supermarket 2.5 miles away when you have a cell phone - for corroboration? To make it more than a he said, she said?
That would explain why the second dancer lied to police when she told them initially she was NOT the person "Kim" in the background on the 2nd 911 call from Kroger. Later, the Police spokesman were forced to reverse themselves admit they had found that the 2nd dancer was the individual that asked the Kroger security guard to call 911.
