My children know that if they do the crime, they can expect to pay for it. I would, certainly, give them comfort in the form of love, but I would not enable them to further destroy the lives of others. AS did the parents of that Utah man who killed his wife, I would lead them to turn themselves in and face the consequences of their own actions. I would not tell them, "Deny. Deny. Deny."
I agree. Screwed up is right. These bitter, vile people just will not stop. They are P*ssing in the wind with their stupid reward for the "conviction of the REAL KILLER"!! A page out of OJ's book. Like a poster above said, that money's safe.
These people must just be sitting around stewing in their hatred of the fact that their spoiled murdering brat finally had to suffer consequences for his actions for the first time in his miserable life.

Why would she have a case if she voluntarily made these payments to protect SCOTT's half? Neither Laci nor her family asked Jackie Peterson to pay the mortgage. If you voluntarily pay someone's give someone some money, you can't come back later and say it is a loan!! At least that's the way I see it.

And let's not forget that the Peterson's have also recently hired their own PRIVATE AppelateAttorny(s) for a quicker appeal for Scooter. I suspect that Scotty is having a very hard time in prison and so he should. He didn't need to kill Laci. He was too greedy to get a Divorce. As Sharon said, "Scott Laci loved you but she didn't NEED you"!!
Sharon got the net proceeds of the sale Howlin PLUS she got the full proceeds of the life insurance policy!! Scott was NOT allowed to profit from his crime.
Beating up on these parents??? Sorry, these poor excuses for parents acted like gutter trash toward the Rocha's all during the trial. They did nothing but harass, demand, name call, attempt to take over everything that belonged to Laci and on and on. They KNOW and have known since the first night that Scott murdered Laci, they simply don't care. Their main concern was that Scott "get away" with it. They deserve no pity whatsoever.

That was a $100,000 "loan" they wrote up at a time when it was uncertain whether Scott would own any of the property he was putting up for collateral at all, much less how much it was worth or how much it could be liquidated for!
It was noted that this "loan" was probably a way to "launder" contributions they had collected for Scott's defense, with themselves being the largest funders. Why didn't they just pay Geragos themselves? Or give Scott the money and "let" him pay the bill?
How did they legally encumber a house that already had two mortgages on it, a dead community property joint owner and another joint owner on trial for killing that co-owner? I'm glad I wasn't paying attention whenever this was settled between Sharon/Ron and Jackie/Lee. I'd have been as furious at the attorneys and judge as I am now.
I just cannot believe it was legal or that the P's were entitled to ANY proceeds at all. Laci paid with her life to try to get Scott out of prison for killing her, is what it boils down to. Double-triple-quadruple victimization! Grrrr. Deplorable.
Yeah, it's the equivalent of sick celebrities trying to buy their way to the top of an organ transplant list. These people honestly (welll....) think they can BUY little Scotty Boy a "get out of jail" card and a shorter wait time for his appeal. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

'Heartless' is poking a mother who lost her daughter and grandson at every opportunity with meaness and viciousness.
'Heartless' is turning your back on your own daughter when she isn't completely, unquestionally, 100% in thrall to her murderous little brother.
My plan included suffering myself to begin to atone for all of this evilness. That's not heartless, that's loving and repentant. Two adjectives that will never be rightly attached to the Peterson family.

If Jackie had her way, Laci and Connor would still be sitting in a coroner's refrigerator, waiting for "Scott to get out" so they could have a funeral! Remember that?
What I meant Karl was when the Sr. Peterson's were mortgaging Scott and Laci's house the house was registered in Joint Tenancy and Laci's body had not yet been found, so there wasn't fool proof evidence that she was dead yet. Actually I recall Sharon Rocha's attorney going to court over that mortgage because the Peterson's mortgage added to the existing indebetness added up to more than Scott's half interest in the property.
Your right. It really wasn't legal. Peterson's did this by getting a quick Power of Attorney from Scott just before he went to jail. Sharon Rocha's attorney DID go to court over this loan??? because it encumbered the property way over what Scott's interest in it could have possibly been. I believe your right, it really was a way to launder money that they had received and it made its' way straight into Geragos's pocket!! This is just ONE of the many disgusting and disgraceful stunts these people pulled. Did you ever read Sharon's book? I did and it was just a fabulous book and very detailed. She has every right to have animosity toward Jackie and Lee Peterson.
Amen, for sure this stunt is laughable and it's so transparent. There is no way that they can "buy" Scooters way out of SQ where he can daily overlook the Bay where he dumped his wife and nearly full term baby boy.
I have always thought that it must have been God Himself that caused that "freak" storm to happen which changed the way the undercurrents flowed and literally picked up Laci's body and placed both her and Conner right on the shore of the Bay for the whole world to see. Scott must have had an absolute pantload when that happened. In fact, we KNOW, that he was definitely, with the help of his parents, in the process of fleeing to Mexico!!
