LOL! I've been calling her Miss Purdue because she looks like a chicken in the grocery story. I've also threatened to fricasse' the other bird when she gets really loud. So one day, you never know what you may find on my stove top.
As for the behavior, did ya'll know that the first OCD studies were done on birds and dogs? Two parts of the brain don't connect and that Prozac is a drug that is supposed to help stop the compulsion.
Anyhow, coming to live with me, plus the collar and the drugs...we hope she'll stop mutilating.

The poor bird! I didn't realize they had such unusual brains!
I hope it recovers. My old cat had a breakdown when our first baby was born, and scratched all the fur off her own head. The vet gave her a tranquilizer, and she lay around in a daze for about a month, while she got used to the invasion of her territory!
