Yes, Mac are pricey, but I expect they will become more competative in time. I have never owned a Mac (own an iPod) but I am now seriously thinking that my next computer will be a Mac. One of the strong allures, for me, is that a Mac is highly capable in the video editing area. I have stacks and stacks of video that needs to be edited and converted to DVD, and there simply is NO Windows based software that really can handle the task. Sure, there's a lot of PC video software out there, but it is by and large extremely buggy and not very effective. I end up spending hours and hours seeking work arounds, and waste tons of time. Nope, I think I just may get a Mac - especially if I'll also be able to play BF2!

I just can't deal with paying $2000 for something that I can get for $600. I do music editing and recording on a compaq without any hassles. 90% of my pc use is internet browsing and email. the other 10% is music related. i've had no troubles, and with the 1200 or so I saved, I can by a sweet 52 Fender Tele.

Yup BF2 Rules! I've lost countless hours of sleep playing that game. I built a new computer with an expensive top line video card back in Dec and BF2 is the only game i've played on it. It's so addictive I can't get around to loading/playing any other game.
