Absolutely not. They would fire God if he had low ratings. Between 1980 and 2004, the number of viewers for the "CBS Evening News with Dan Rather" dropped 65%. It also dropped from #1 in the ratings to a distant #3.

The upper-level suits are petrified by the overall decline.
